Volunteer Opportunity at Bernie’s Book Bank
New Reform Congregation Kadima has organized a volunteer opportunity at Bernie’s Book Bank this month.   http://berniesbookbank.org/volunteer/
Need:  Help sort, sticker, and/or package children's books in our Processing Center.  We are looking for 10 to 15 volunteers for this event, but all are welcome!
When:  Saturday 06/30/18 from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm
Where:  Bernie’s Book Bank Processing Center,  917 North Shore Drive, Lake Bluff, IL  60044  
How to Sign Up:  
Please use the link below to register for this session.  Note: for minors the waiver contained in this form may only be completed by a parent or guardian.

Volunteer Registration
Volunteers Under 18:
·        Volunteers under age 14 must be accompanied by an adult.  Bernie’s requires 1 adult per every four volunteers under age 14. 
·        Volunteers aged 14-17 who have a current waiver on file may volunteer without a parent or guardian present.
On Saturday:
·        We are asked to arrive 5-10 minutes prior to 12:00 for check-in.
·        No outside food or beverage in the Processing Center. 
·        Please consider donating new or gently used children’s books  (see guidelines in email below).
Group Lunch:
We will be meeting for a group lunch before our volunteer activity.  This is optional, but we hope you will join us!

Volunteer Opportunities: Serve Dinner to the Homeless
Congregation Kadima is, once again, volunteering  to serve meals to homeless individuals this summer through the Journeys - the Road Home PADS services location at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepard in Prospect Heights.
Here are the Wednesday dates we’ve chosen:

 Kadima Joins Reform Illinois!

Congregation Kadima is pleased to join in the launching of the new statewide Reform IL movement! 
Reform IL, a project of the Religious Action Center of the Union for Reform Judaism is working to organize its member congregations to collectively build a more just and compassionate Land of Lincoln for all.
